6lack decided to surprise his fans on the night of his 28th birthday with a new song “Float” off of his freshly released EP, 6pc HotNot only did fans get a new single and an EP in the same week, they also received a hot sauce brand “600 Degrees” released by 6lack in honor of his EP dropping.

6lack hasn’t released music since 2018 and because I am huge fan of his, this single was a phenomenal way to get us fans back into our feels just in time for summer.

With his velvet-like voice and melodic lyrics, 6lack sings about trying to stay afloat during the rough patches in his life. He talks about relationships, being in his feels, and the civil agitation occurring with Black Lives Matter. You can feel him pull you through his lyrics, “We’ve been up, we’ve been down/We’ve been bad/Can we turn it around, before we crash?”

Check out “Float” on Spotify.
