Alexisonfire’s catalog swells into 2020 with another new single “Season Of The Flood”

Last year was a year of reunions and kicked off in February with Canadian post-hardcore five-piece Alexisonfire, who dropped new material for the first time in almost nine years. With three new singles wrapped into a perfected, neon package, it is clear Alexisonfire worked diligently to bring their signature sound to a higher caliber.

Fierce and melodic, single “Familiar Drugs” single and music video, filmed entirely on VHS, took fans by surprise and displayed that there was an even better package to come from the five-piece. Dallas Green’s unmistakable clean, echoing vocals rattle through George Pettit’s screams and heavy, dripping bass lines as the insanely strong single blasted through the 2019 winter. Second single “Complicit” turned the corner into the hardcore realm with a faster chorus focused on quick grumbles and screams from Pettit and left fans reminiscent and wondering what was coming next. For the next seven months, nothing would. Then with the new year came new music once again, as Alexisonfire’s buzz continued its swelling with hypnotic single “Season Of The Flood”, no doubt influenced heavily by the ambient king Dallas Green with signature slow melodies, winding into their longest song to date at almost seven minutes.
