Billy Talent seems to speak on American turmoil in new power single “Reckless Paradise”

Canadian punk-rock band Billy Talent dropped their first single “Reckless Paradise” off their upcoming, long-awaited new album since their last studio record Afraid of Heights was released in 2016.

With the upcoming new album (name unknown) due in the Fall of 2020, Billy Talent’s loud new single “Reckless Paradise” leads with a clean, heavy guitar behind the unmistakeable, heroic vocals from Benjamin Kowalewicz. As an atomic bomb explodes in the background, the impending American and/or global apocalypse (some might say we’ve been here for a while, maybe even four years) is on the heels of our masked, motorcycle-riding narrator. The single is a clear and solid stance of the overall current state of the union, one of reckless abandonment of morality and desensitized children (represented in the lower right corner of the single art).

Produced by Billy Talent guitarist and Juno Award nominee (Producer of the Year) Ian D’Sa, “Reckless Paradise” is available now everywhere!

Your thoughts and prayers can’t fix the pain, ’cause we’re falling down again / Living in a reckless paradise / The house is burning, trapped inside.”

This single follows up on “Forgiveness I + II,” which was released as a surprise and was not an official single from the band. It was also featured as the music in the first episode of the multi-part short film featuring UFC superstars Rose Namajunas and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone that Billy Talent is releasing over the coming months.
