It’s been about a year since we last heard from modern psych band Ceramic Animal, but now they’re back and they’ve got big plans for the year. To kick it off, the band have just dropped a new single “Working (Real Hard)” complete with a silly surrealist companion video. The new video was created as a standalone sequel to last year’s “Look For A Lover.” In the original, they were trapped on an intergalactic dating show. In the follow-up, they’re still stuck there, but plan on working (real hard) to get out.
“Working (Real Hard)” is Ceramic Animal’s first single since their last album. But it’s not just a fun standalone sequel to a video, it’s also the first single from the band’s upcoming album. The new LP is titled High End and is set for release later next month. Details remain slim at the moment, but undoubtedly we are in the throes of a new album cycle. So plan on hearing more from Ceramic Animal very soon.
In the meantime, check out the “Working (Real Hard)” video down below. It was written and directed by Sid Kreitzer, with Matt Noll as director of photography. The duo also paired up on the last video “Look For A Lover,” so you know they certainly have the eye to tell this strange story to its possible conclusion.
