Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist drop new album ‘Alfredo,’ new music video

Published

Gary rapper Freddie Gibbs and producer The Alchemist have teamed up on the new album Alfredo and a music video for the song “1985.”

The album boasts features from Rick Ross, Tyler, The Creator, and Griselda members Benny The Butcher and Conway the Machine. Freddie Gibbs comes hot off of a string of recent projects, like last year’s acclaimed album Bandana with the producer Madlib. Gibbs has worked with The Alchemist in the past, like on 2018’s Fetti, another collaborative project also with rapper Curren$y.

Just hours before Alfredo‘s release, the pair dropped a music video for the song “1985.” The Nick Walker-directed piece pays homage to the 1995 film SE7EN, set in the same location as the movie’s climax.
