The annual Hopscotch music festival made it’s mark on Raleigh this month as it celebrated its 10th anniversary of filling the downtown music venues with nonstop music, food, and art vendors from Thursday, September 5th – Sunday, September 8th. From the iconic Red Hat Amphitheater, Lincoln Theatre, and Fayetteville St. venues to the smaller, more intimate club settings, there was something for everyone throughout the festivities. Chvrches, Phantogram, and !!! (Chk Chk Chk) headlined the Red Hat, each putting on an incredible performance that undoubtedly left the audience with memories they won’t soon forget. Hopscotch isn’t all about the giant headliners though, however as the day parties that ran from 12-5pm drew decent-sized crowds and featured for the most part, smaller acts that had made a name for themselves and were just as much worth keeping an eye on as the big names featured at the top of the bill.
