Last Friday, Against the Current released their roaring new EP fever. The seven-track release finds the band returning to their rock roots after their pop-infused 2018 album Past Lives.

Frontwoman Chrissy Costanza commented, “In some ways, this is a debut. We have so many inspirations from the past, but we merged those with what currently inspires us to create something new. We finally figured it out. You can burn down the past version of yourself and become who you think you are now. This is undeniably Against The Current.”

The band released the first three songs (“that won’t save us,” “weapon,” and “again&again”) as singles earlier this year, showcasing the band’s rock sound and Costanza’s powerful vocal range. Of the four new tracks, the aptly-named track “Shatter” puts the softer, delicate side of Costanza’s range on full display.
