Ani Brava thrives off of a state of isolation in order to get her creative mind working. She has been splitting her time within Tokyo and Los Angeles for quite a while. Brava claims that her musical journey began after working on a musical gig in Osaka.
Splitting her time between these two different cultures has inspired a lot of her music writing ideas. Being present and not present, switching from both cities, has inspired “Homicide,” it is her middle ground. Ani Brava states, “I wrote this in a dark hotel room in Tokyo… Every time I allow myself to love, I’m letting someone dangle me off a cliff, trusting they won’t drop me.”
