LA-based artist ARZA has just dropped an elegantly filmed video for her newest single “Right Here.” The “substance pop” singer strips things back on the new track, featuring only her powerhouse voice and piano. The emotions come out strong immediately, and now with the newly filmed video, we get a look at ARZA’s full state of emotions as she plays the song straight through on piano.
Speaking about the song’s meaning, ARZA says:
“I wrote this song when I was reflecting on very vulnerable times with my music. Since I was a child I always loved to perform music but there were unforeseen challenges throughout the years like a teacher telling me to give up a lead role in elementary school and having to stop performing in college when I had emergency eye surgery for juvenile glaucoma.”She continues,“However, I realized that all of those challenges actually made me stronger and more resilient to succeed in any tough situation. Just like a tree that weathers the storm, its roots become more embedded in the ground and its bark tougher. I wanted to give this music video an intimate feel because this song is close to my heart. I hope this song can empower others who are going through trying times.”
Since the release of her debut EP Freedom in 2017, ARZA has continued on her rise in the music world. She’s opened for The Plain White T’s, performed at multiple Pride festivals around the country, and has kept on performing at colleges, radio stations, important LA venues, and nonprofit organizations. We look forward to keeping an eye on her in the months and years to come. In the meantime…
