Automatic shares “Strange Conversations (Sudan Archives remix)”

Published

on

Automatic teams up with fellow Los Angeles based violinist and singer Sudan Archives (Brittney Denise Parks) for a remix of the 2019 song “Strange Conversations. The original song closed their 2019 debut record Signal. With their first LP, Automatic’s Izzy Glaudini (synth, vocals), Lola Dompé (drums, vocals), and Halle Saxon (bass, vocals) mixed driving energy with synth-y, electronic production. Automatic’s laid back, post-punk sound pairs with Parks’ violin and raps on “Strange Conversations (Sudan Archives remix)” for an effortlessly cool update.

“Strange Conversations (Sudan Archives remix)” joins a series of other remixes the group has released in the past year. Most recently, John Dwyer gave “Electrocution” a spacey and chill treatment. Other collaborations include remixes from Panther Modern, JooJoo, and Peanut Butter Wolf. A full length remixed version of Signals is due out March 26, 2021 via Stones Throw Records.
