Nigerian-born, London-raised artist Azekel has shared his brand new single “Dupé.

The tracks goes back to Azekel’s roots, with the title meaning “giving thanks” in his mother-tongue of Yoruba.

“I recorded Dupė in LA before 2020 happened. I’ve been exploring sounds and music inspired by music of my upbringing, and culture, whilst still incorporating the wavy sound I’ve become known for, and so Dupė is the first of this exploration,” Azekel explained. “The day I worked on it with Sons of Sonix (Stormzy, Ty Dolla $ign) we recorded it all one evening, and since then we keep coming back to it. Super glad people can move and feel to this one, now that it’s out.”
