Hail The Sun drop new video/single “Glass: Half Empty”

Hail The Sun are set to release their new full length album Mental Knife in two weeks. Ahead of its release, the prog rock quartet have shared three singles. All three have shown what the band are capable of, highlighting the loud guitar riffs right alongside the intricate rhythms. Today Hail The Sun have shared another side of the project with the final album single “Glass: Half Empty.”

“Glass: Half Empty” keeps the intensity up with massive sounding guitar work jostling between fast-paced mania and slowed down smoothness. All four members play key parts of the puzzle, with each sound and idea layered to form a complete whole. With the release of the new single, the band have shared an official video where colorful, cheerful design contrast the track’s sound and theme.

Lead singer/drummer Donovan Melero said this about the song:

“I’m very grateful for everything I’ve ever been given or earned. I count my blessings on a daily basis. However, I feel as though the obsession to always want ‘more’ has always plagued me. The harder it is to get…the more out of reach it seems… the more I want it. And if and when that is achieved, it’s like my mind solely decides that it’s time to crave something else. Or even worse, I realize I no longer want it, and never did.”
