Halley Neal releases feel-good single “If I Was Ready”

Today, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Halley Neal (previously of Rose & Kennedy) unveiled her third single “If I Was Ready” as a part of her new solo project.

Neal’s vocals on the track feel effortless, delivering lines like “If I was ready to love you you’d be so easy to trust / All of the doubts weighing me down would run away at your touch” with such a breeziness that you (almost) miss the weight behind them. The influence of Fleetwood Mac—and specifically “Dreams”—is tangible, yet the song is distinctly Neal’s.

The summery vibe of “If I Was Ready” will have you hitting repear all year round (because who doesn’t need a little extra sunshine these days?).
