Brooklyn-based doom pop singer Katie Von Schleicher has released “Display,” an outtake from her album Consummation. The album was released in May and was Von Schleicher’s first release since her 2017 lo-fi masterpiece Shitty Hits.
Another track, “CMWA,” was also left off the album. These two bonus songs were originally only released on 7” records that came with a special edition LP version of Consummation.
Von Schleicher’s Bandcamp account described the songs as: “Two tracks from the Consummation sessions that didn’t make it onto the album because they were too good and it embarrassed all the other songs. These are I think the first b-sides (maybe excluding Because The Night) in the history of music that were so clearly dominant over the rest of the artist’s oeuvre. It’s pretty shocking. Wow”
