The English producer and musician, Kieran Hebden, released two surprise albums Parallel, under the moniker Four Tet, and 871, as  00110100 01010100. This is Hebden’s second and third solo release of the year following his album Sixteen Oceans and collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke.

Parallel, the first of the two records, features 10 songs which bring a laid back and almost meditative production. Like the 2017 release, New Energy, Parallel also sees Hebden reworking sounds from his own catalogue. Alternatively, 871 is a 20 song album filled with industrial sounds and tense layering.
