Lucy Dacus announces 2019 tour

Published

Lucy Dacus has had a fairly busy 2018. After returning to the scene earlier this year with her sophomore LP Historian, Dacus wound up releasing even more new music with the great new supergroup boygenius (with Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers). In addition to all of that, she’s also been touring extensively. First solo, and more recently with the boygenius musicians. But despite this packed 2018, Lucy Dacus has already starting making some preparations for 2019 with a new tour announcement.

2018 was really Lucy Dacus’s year. She may have seen some small success with her 2016 debut No Burden, but it was this year’s Historian that really put her on the map. The new LP was a big step in her sound and identity, containing even more focused and lush writing and arranging. Happily, its greatness hasn’t gone unnoticed as it’s already started popping up on people’s best-of-the-year lists. But on top of that, the boygenius EP has also started appearing on year-end lists even though it’s an EP. Either the differentiation between EPs and LPs and “best albums” is meaningless now, or it’s really truly that good (we’d say it’s the latter).

So, in case you’ve somehow missed the boat on all of the greatness Lucy Dacus has had going on this year. It’s now time for you to sort yourself out. This way, you’ll be ready to go in 2019 when Lucy Dacus embarks on her nearly two-month tour across the US. Check out the full list of dates below.
