British singer/songwriter Nathan Ball released his newest single “Blindside” and announced his debut album will drop later this year. This new single uses electronica and piano to tell a story of a relationship that fell apart, along with the even more painful crave to have it back.
“Blindside” brings an eccentric soundscape that replicates different parts of nature. It has a natural rising and swelling to it that makes this song hauntingly serene, and it later crashes cymbals like waves. This makes sense, based on where Nathan chooses to write his lyrics.
“I love being totally immersed in nature so naturally those themes find their way into the music. I love being in the ocean – just being in it, and feeling totally insignificant. It’s a reminder of the order of things.”
The song was produced by Max Redford and expertly mixed by Nicholas Verhnes. Prior to this release, Nathan was working on other singles like “Just Say Something”, and was collaborating with Faithless on their latest album ‘All Blessed’. Now, after riding positive acknowledgements from the likes of The Independent, GQ, Clash and Hunger, Nathan Ball is planning to go on tour! The Nathan Ball 2021 tour will be over his upcoming debut album and is clearly a new milestone for Nathan’s new career.
