We’re back with another week of new music! Featuring Lizzo, Oscar Lang, Ed Sheeran, Elton John and more, NÜ MUSIC FRIDAY is here!
Lizzo – “Rumors”
After many hints on Tik Tok, Lizzo is returning from her two-year hiatus with a new single, “Rumors”. The single features Cardi B, which was revealed via TikTok.
Oscar Lang – Chew The Scenery
Oscar Lang released his debut album Chew The Scenery, but don’t be fooled into thinking this is his first rodeo. Lang’s released 3 EPs in this year alone and gained even more creativity during the lockdown. In an interview with Tone Deaf, Lang jokes “I think you can hear that built-up boredom being released on the record.”
Ed Sheeran, Tion Wayne, Central Cee – “Bad Habits” Remix
While “Bad Habits” is perched on the #1 spot, Ed Sheeran decided the song needed a touch-up. Teaming up with Tion Wayne and Central Cee, this “Bad Habits” remix will definitely be a UK hit.
Elton John and Dua Lipa – “Cold Heart”
An unexpectedly pleasant duo, Elton John and Dua Lipa, brought the heat this week with new single “Cold Heart”. The song is a mash-up and remix of two Elton John’s “Sacrifice” and “Rocket Man”, and includes a psychedelic music video.
Still Woozy – If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is
Still Woozy’s first album came out this week! Sven Gamsky, the man behind Still Woozy, had many inspirations for the album’s title (The Weeknd, ELO, Shaggy, The Beatles and more). The album will be followed by a North American tour, and a European finale.
Megan Thee Stallion – “Outta Town” freestyle
On top of her game, Megan Thee Stallion releases an “Outta Town” freestyle, just days after being nominated for 6 VMAs. The freestyle came out the same day that Megan made the cover of Essence’s fall fashion issue. The 80-second freestyle features a makeup-free and feisty Megan doing what she does best.
$UICIDEBOY$ – Long Term Effects of SUFFERING
This week, $UICIDEBOY$ released their sophomore studio album. Long Term Effects of SUFFERING is pretty different from their earlier releases, but the boys are still the same (if anything, they’ve come back stronger than their last mixtape).
