Pallbearer releases cinematic music video for “Forgotten Days”

Doom metal band Pallbearer just released the Cinema Edition of their music video for “Forgotten Days.”

Last week, Pallbearer premiered the first edition of the music video for “Forgotten Days” off of the upcoming album also labelled Forgotten Days due out October 23rd (pre-order the album here). The group wanted to release the Cinema Edition to give fans a different feeling and dynamism to the track.

Guitarist and vocalist Brett Campbell knew that a more dramatic black and white video could give the song a new vibe. Directed by Ben Meredith, the video does pull an edge of otherworldliness from the track more prominent than before.

Metal Injection claims “When Ben sent us this alternate version of the ‘Forgotten Days’ video, we were instantly taken aback at how a simple color shift and change to aspect ratio transformed the feeling of the narrative. This cinematic edition is dripping with oppressive claustrophobia, and in being stripped of color, deepens the sense of the unknown lurking in the shadows of the mind. We’re happy to share it with you today.”
