Taylor Swift celebrates V-Day early with re-recorded “Love Story”

Taylor Swift has taken the first step in releasing her re-recorded records by unveiling “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)— and it’s just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Swift announced the release yesterday along with the announcement that the entirety of re-recorded Fearless–dubbed Fearless (Taylor’s Version)–will be out next month.

She went back to her roots with the announcement, leaving a coded message much like she used to do in her linear notes (cute note: the coded message in the original “Love Story” lyrics was “SOMEDAY ILL FIND THIS”). The message this time? APRIL NNTH.

The message also revealed that in addition to the original 19 songs found on the deluxe edition of Fearless, the re-recorded version will feature “Today Was a Fairytale” plus six never-released tracks from “the vault.”

“I’ve decided I want you to have the whole story, see the entire vivid picture, and let you into the entire dreamscape that is my Fearless album,” she wrote. “Written when I was between the ages of 16 and 18, these were the ones it killed me to leave behind.”
