Tierra Whack recently sent out two new singles: “Peppers and Onions” and “feel good”.

This funky, Philly-based rapper produces well-sculpted lines in “Peppers and Onions”, which showcases her battle-rapping background. The pots-and-pans percussive sound, mixed with the clicking-of-mouth beat of “Peppers and Onions” come together surprisingly well with Whack’s lines- but then again, it wouldn’t be a Whack single if it wasn’t imperfectly perfect.

“feel good” presents a stripped-down and more serious side of Whack. Lasting a little over a minute, Whack twists around the feeling of nostalgia while bringing strong lines like this:

“I done seen the stars, I done seen the lights/ But I can’t forget that I’m still hood.”
